Andrew Centofante
We are fortunate to have amazing collaborative partners here at Squid and Beard. Sometimes, we find ourselves in awe about how many talented friends we have made over the years–and we keep meeting more. And with such fun and creative people all around us, we jump at every chance we can get to work together with them.
A favorite company that we have been working with from the very start is Okay Yellow, a branding and design team that does it all. These guys really impress us with the diversity of projects they take on and produce. We admire both their work ethic and creative abilities (plus they are fun people to be around). You should check out some of their motion graphic work they’ve done–outstanding!
This year, one of their founders, Andrew Centofante, stepped out on his own for some new creative ventures. One of these ventures involves traveling around the world creating video content for Semester at Sea. We’d be lying if we didn’t admit some jealousy of that one. He gets paid to travel and explore the world in a learning environment…and make movies at the same time. Amazing, right?
Andrew has a very unique creative voice that allows him to work on a wide range of different projects. You can see some of the work he is doing and check out more about his adventures on his website. He keeps it fresh and never seems to run out of creative ideas.
And with that in mind, we asked him to come help us look toward the future by designing a new logo. We always want to keep moving forward by trying new approaches at Squid and Beard; however, we also believe in a strong tradition. So we are hoping that as we work with Andrew, we will find an image that will stay with us for a long time while still pushing us in new directions. Plus with our new website, Twitter account and Facebook page–we gotta have a new logo too!
We will keep you posted as work develops with Andrew. We are looking forward to sharing ideas and seeing what will follow.
